The Best of Radio Times

Listen

HR 2

Guests: James McBride, James Goodale & Wendy Plump

Today we’re listening to some of our favorite recent Radio Times interviews. Marty talks with award-winning writer JAMES MCBRIDE, who managed to write a funny book about slavery, “The Good Lord Bird, ” which received a 2013 National Book Award for fiction. Then attorney and author JAMES GOODALE takes us back to the turbulent 1970’s. His book, “Fighting for the Press” is about his experiences defending The New York Times and its decision to publish the Pentagon Papers. Then on a completely different topic, writer WENDY PLUMP talks about her and her husband’s affairs. Her book is “Vow: A Memoir of Marriage.”
