Keeping schools safe pt.1

There will be lots of coverage this week connected with the tragic events one year ago in Newtown, Connecticut. Much has been made about school safety over the last year. In Delaware, we had an assessment this week on the state of Delaware’s schools.

Keeping schools safe pt.2

There is another part of the Newtown post mortum, and that was the focus of a WHYY civic event last weekend. We asked the question how do we keep schools safe? We gathered a group of experts, and some of you, to help find answers. Here is more of this week’s First Look.

First Experience: Duck Tape art

This time of year we like to go back into our archives for stories like this one, the duck tape artist. Joe Girandola does amazing things with the sticky stuff. Sit back and enjoy this First Experience shot in January at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts.
