Wissinoming child shot by young cousin

The child shot in Wissinoming Saturday was wounded by his cousin. The 4-year-old was treated for a gunshot wound to the buttocks at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children after he and his 8-year-old cousin found a loaded gun under the couch in a home on the 5000-block of Homestead Street.

The boy’s father, 23, is expected to be charged; he was home at the time of the incident. He faces counts of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment of another person.
