Wilmington 2016 list of homicides continues to grow

The number of shootings continues to grow in the City of Wilmington.

On Tuesday, Wilmington recorded its 12th homicide by gun when a 30-year-old-man was gunned down on Jensen Drive. The shooting happened around 8:26 a.m.  According to police, the victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso.

New Castle County Paramedics performed CPR on scene, later transporting the victim to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room where he later died.

Investigators canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and collected some evidence. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives immediately on the Homicide Hot-line at 302-576-3939, or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
