Snap the Schuylkill

If you’re a Schuylkill shutterbug, it’s time to share your pictures of sunning turtles, families fishing, kayak trips, even that glass of Schuylkill Punch.

Submit your photos of the river’s best side in this year’s Schuylkill Action Network photo contest, commemorating the organization’s decade of river cleanup advocacy work. Last year’s contest garnered about 6,000 entries.

Individuals can submit up to six high-resolution images to the Schuylkill Action Network’s contest page on facebook from now until October 30. A panel of judges will select the top 10 photos in three categories – Wild & Scenic, Tip Top Tap, and Fun on the Schuylkill – and the winners will be chosen by a public vote from November 15- December 15. Judges will also select their top picks. Photographers who get the most votes will be rewarded wtih certificates from REI, Calumet or Amazon.com.
