Greene St. / W. Chelten Ave. – a SEPTA bus driver said that a man punched him in the face, knocking out two of his teeth. The offender attacked the driver after he wasn’t allowed on the bus.

May 10, 2011

E. Ashmead St. / Wakefield St. – complainant said someone tried to rob him at gunpoint. Complainant said he kept walking after the offender told him to “empty your pockets.” He said he offender fled in an unknown direction, but threatened to find out where the complainant lives.

300 block E. Armat St. – complainant said someone stole his handgun while he was in the hospital. Complainant said he was in the hospital from February 14 to May 10. During that time he told his nephew to turn his gun into the police, but the nephew refused. When the complainant returned home, he tried to call his nephew about the gun to no avail.

Unit block E. Washington Lane – two drills, two paintings, a saw sander, sickle, sewing machine and a baby gate were stolen from the property.

6600 block Germantown Ave – complainant said two offenders approached her while she was skateboarding and struck her in the back of the head with an unknown object. The complainant was knocked unconscious. Offenders ran off with a book bag containing an ID and schoolbooks.

900 block Woodbrook Lane – 2000 block Chrysler Voyager stolen.

100 block E. Mount Airy Ave. – key to narcotics safe and 200 Xanax pills stolen from the property.

 

May 11, 2011

6100 block Stenton Ave. – Apple iPhone and charger stolen from Martin Luther King High School. Complainant said she was charging the phone during an afterschool program. She last saw the item at 4:30 p.m. May 10. She noticed the phone was missed at 5 p.m. that day.

7000 block Forrest Ave. – complainant said an acquaintance stole a Dell computer from her home.

1300 block E. Rittenhouse St. – complainant said an acquaintance raped her while they were inside her home.

1600 block Wynsam St. – three diamond rings stolen from the property. She said she noticed the items were missing after the cleaning lady cleaned her house.

 

May 12, 2011

7700 block Temple Road – complainant said a man she knows from a bar raped her. She said the man sexually assaulted her and he knocked on her door and used her bathroom.

5600 block Devon St. – mountain bike stolen from the property. Complainant said three males stole his son’s bike from outside the location.

4600 block Germantown Ave. – 42″ Panasonic TV and an Xbox stolen from the property. Complainant said she is in the process of moving out of the location. When she returned to grab more of her belongings she noticed the air conditioner pushed out of the windows and the items taken.

400 block E. Walnut Lane – two cable boxes, 27″ flat screen TV and jewelry were stolen from the property.

5300 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said an acquaintance raped her. She said she was sleeping in a rear bedroom when the man sexually assaulted her. The offender stopped after one of the complainant’s friends told him she was calling 911.

200 block W. Walnut Lane – amplifier and $1150 stolen from a 2005 Dodge Magnum.

200 block W. Walnut Lane – complainant said two men assaulted him and knocked him unconscious. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Two people witnessed the incident.

600 block E. Sedgwick St. – lawnmower and a leaf blower stolen from a storage shed between 2 p.m May 11 and 9 a.m. May 12.

8000 block Thouron Ave. – complainant said a female student at New Media Technology Charter School punched her in face while wearing a huge ring and then tried to stab her with a pen. Complainant said the two had gotten into a verbal altercation before anything violent happened.

E. Price St. / Lena St. – complainant said someone snatched her iPod from her hand while she was walking and fled the scene. Complainant said he and his friends see the offender almost every day on their way to an afterschool program.

5400 block Lena St. – cutter, two weed wackers, leaf blower, rope and a generator stolen from the property. Complainant said he had an argument with his son, who went to a work site and stole the items.

Unit block Pelham Road – Nokia cell phone, Cannon digital, Garmin GPS and a drill stolen from a 2010 Honda Accord.

Gowen Ave. / Sprague St. – 1990 Honda Civic was stolen from the train station between 7:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. May 11.

 

May 13, 2011

1000 block Slocum St. – a Masonic ring and $50 in quarters were reported missing from the property. Complainant said he’s not sure if the items were stolen.

76th Ave. / Ogontz Ave. – complainant said someone stole video surveillance equipment from his City of Philadelphia vehicle, a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

5800 block Lena St. – musical organ stolen from a 2000 Dodge Ram.

Greene St. / W. Chelten Ave. – a SEPTA bus driver said that a man punched him in the face, knocking out two of his teeth. The offender attacked the driver after he wasn’t allowed on the bus.

8000 block Thouron Ave. – portable radio stolen from a school at the location. Three men who don’t attend Franklin S. Edmonds School were spotted on the school’s cameras entering the building and walking out with the item.

8000 block Cherokee St. – a teacher at Springside School said his MacBook computer was stolen from his desk. He said the locked room for an hour. Other faculty members have access to the same room.

 

May 14, 2011

8000 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said another man kicked and punched him in his head and chest while they were at a birthday party. The complainant went to the hospital for his injuries.

7700 block Ogontz Ave. – an employee at the location said two men entered the store and robbed it at gunpoint. The offenders then fled the store.

1900 block 74th Ave. – Playstation, DVD player and a check for $750 were stolen from the property. Complainant said he let his son stay at his home for a couple of night and that the items were gone when he left.

7800 block Rugby St. – complainant said his son hit him in the forehead after an argument between the two about cleaning up after the son’s dog. The complainant fell backwards afterwards, hitting his head on a coffee table.

6600 block N. 21st St. – a son allegedly stabbed and killed his mother at the property. Complainant’s daughter flagged down police and asked them to follow her to her home to check on her mother. Upon arrival, the complainant’s son, the offender, came downstairs as officers headed upstairs. There they found the complainant lying unresponsive in a front bedroom with blood coming from her head. She was pronounced at 9:55 p.m.

Unit block E. Ashmead St. – complainant said someone threatened him with a gun.

5600 block Germantown Ave. – seven cartons of cigarettes stolen from a drug store.

700 block Gray St. – complainant said she was having a verbal altercation with an acquaintance when the offender became irate, grabbed her and threw her through a living room window.

600 block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said four men attacked him, hitting him in the back of the head with an unknown object, punching and kicking him. Complainant later identified half of the group. Police made two arrests.

Unit block Westview St. – bike was stolen from a front porch.

 

May 15, 2011

6400 block Belfield Ave. – Coach purse containing a driver’s license and $60 was stolen from the property. Complainant said she had a man over at her home and that the bag was gone when he left.

1300 block E. Rittenhouse St. – complainant said her boyfriend cut her in the forehead with a knife. The offender was arrested afterwards.

1100 block E. Upsal St. – clothes, a jar of change, a watch and a blue hamper were stolen from the property between 1:31 p.m. May 13 and 11:30 p.m. May 14. There were no signs of a forced entry.

E. Washington Lane – complainant said two men robbed him at gunpoint. The offenders stole $22, but were later arrested.

6500 block Germantown Ave. – 11 laptops and a tuition box containing $300 were stolen from the school. The principal said the items were last seen May 13.

200 block E. Rittenhouse St. – complainant said three men kicked in her apartment door, fought her, and then pointed a handgun at her head before fleeing the scene. Complaisant said the offenders left while she was on the phone with police.

Stenton Ave. / E. Sedgwick St. – complainant said a man robbed him at gunpoint. The offender stole $225. The complainant said he heard what he thought was a gunshot soon afterwards.

 

May 16, 2011

7200 block Ogontz Ave. – complainant said a man approached him, showed him a handgun he was carrying, and said “give me what you got”. The offender then fled down Walnut Lane on foot. Nothing was taken.

5600 block Chew Ave. – 1999 Kia stolen, but recovered before the police report was made. Complainant said someone stole her car while she left it running at the location. The offender, however, jumped out of the car and fled into an alleyway where police arrested him.

6200 block Ardleigh St. – Dell laptop, Cricket modem, computer camera, an 18″ TV and two DVD players were stolen from the property. Complainant said he was hospitalized for approx. six months starting August 27. When he returned to his nursing home, he noticed the items had been taken.

6200 block Baynton St. – 2001 Chevy Impala stolen, but recovered before the police report was made. Complainant said the vehicle turned up on near Washington Lane and Baynton St. while he was waiting for police to arrive.

200 block Church Lane – RCA 42″ TV, comforter set, curtain set, DVD player and more stolen from a property. Complainant said she left the offender, her nurse, inside the location at approx. 7 p.m. May 14 to finish working on a project she started. She said when she returned to visit her elderly father at 7 a.m. May 16, the items were gone.

5700 block Lena St. – copper tubing, portable cable air compressor and a shop vacuum unit stolen from the property between 5 p.m. May 13 and 4:30 p.m. May 16.

Unit block E. Armat St. – power tools stolen from a 1999 Ford F-250.

500 block W. Telner St. – 2008 Dodge Caravan stolen between 4-5 p.m. May 16. The car contained tools and checks.

8600 block Provident St. – 1992 Toyota Camry stolen between 5 p.m. May 15 and 12:10 p.m. May 16.
