Rehoboth Beach boardwalk appears in National Geographic’s “top ten”

The Rehoboth Beach boardwalk is number-six on a list of the nation’s best boardwalks ranked by National Geographic magazine.

Attractions such as Funland, Surfside Arcade and Dolle’s Candies are cited as adding to the boardwalk’s “vintage” appeal.  NG also makes reference to the boardwalk’s use of a yellow pine herringbone pattern, part of a refurbishment that replaced a concrete surface.  Atlantic City and Coney Island are ranked as the top boardwalks.  Ocean City Maryland is number-four on the list, while The Wildwoods at the Jersey shore just make it in at number-ten.
