Police: Missing girl, 16, and newborn twins have been found

A 16-year-old Philadelphia girl and her newborn daughters have been found safe hours after they were reported missing.

Police say that Ruth Johnson ran away with week-old Faith and Grace after a verbal altercation Thursday night.

They were found safe across the Delaware River in Gloucester City, New Jersey, Friday afternoon.

Authorities say the teenager has a history of running away from home. They say she was in contact with her mother overnight.

Johnson stayed over a friend’s house and police didn’t think she was in any “physical danger.”
