Police: Man who shot Philly cop officer during carjacking is captured

Police have arrested a man who shot an officer trying to stop a Philadelphia carjacking. They say charges are pending against him and another man.

Officer James McCullough was shot once in the left leg Sunday night. He was in stable condition Monday.

The officer and his partner were flagged down by a woman who reported being carjacked by two men at gunpoint, police said.

The men ran as officers approached. Police said the officers pursued, and one man turned and shot McCullough in the leg.
