New DelDOT leader takes the helm

DelDOT will be under new management starting today.  Shailen Bhatt will be sworn in a Delaware’s Secretary of the Department of Transportation this afternoon in Dover.

 Bhatt was selected as part of what Governor Markell called a “broad search” to replace Carol Ann Wicks, who resigned in March amid harsh criticism of the department’s actions.  Bhatt, who grew up in Canada, had been Associate Administrator for the Federal Highway Administration in Washington, D.C.
