The job of superintendent of schools isn’t always an envious one. Tight budgets, performance standards, accountability to school boards and parents — when someone’s not happy, the person in the top job is to blame.
For a change, there’s an area superintendent who’s enjoying accolades. Last week, Dr. James Capolupo of the Springfield School District was named Superintendent of the Year by the National Association of School Superintendents. He sat down to talk with WHYY’s Dave Heller about the Delaware County district’s successes and future plans.
