Mid-Century Philly: Parker & Mullikin photography

Eyes on the Street has sifted through a bunch of historic photographs showing off mid-century Philadelphia. While EOTS is on vacation, check back daily for a new picture from this collection.

Many of these images, taken by the photography company Parker & Mullikin, offer glimpses at life along Philadelphia’s busy commercial streets, blazing with neon, full of life and activity.

A large set of Parker & Mullikin photographs are held by the Free Library’s Print and Pictures Department at the Parkway Central Branch, which has kindly partnered with Eyes on the Street to feature pieces of their extensive collections.
