Today is the last day to visit the 23rd Annual Manayunk Arts Festival

The region’s largest outdoor juried art show is going on along Manayunk’s Main Street today.

With nearly 300 artists from 23 states, the 23rd Annual Manayunk Arts Festival is expected to bring an estimated 200,000 people to the neighborhood over the course of the two-day event.

Visitors can browse and buy all sorts of artwork from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.  

Participating artists are set up under white tents along Main Street to showcase their artwork, which includes fiber, glass and ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, drawing and painting, photography, and wood and sculpture. 

If you’re going, don’t forget to check out the inaugural Emerging Artists Showcase tent. Many of the young artists are Philadelphia-area university students, and their pieces for sale will include jewelry and watercolors. The tent, sponsored by Manayunk’s BRR Architecture and The Little Apple, will be located at the intersection of Main Street and Roxborough Avenue. 

Main Street will be blocked off to traffic from Green Lane to Shurs Lane throughout the majority of the day today.
