Participating artists are set up under white tents along Main Street to showcase their artwork, which includes fiber, glass and ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, drawing and painting, photography, and wood and sculpture.

If you’re going, don’t forget to check out the inaugural Emerging Artists Showcase tent. Many of the young artists are Philadelphia-area university students, and their pieces for sale will include jewelry and watercolors. The tent, sponsored by Manayunk’s BRR Architecture and The Little Apple, will be located at the intersection of Main Street and Roxborough Avenue.

Main Street will be blocked off to traffic from Green Lane to Shurs Lane throughout the majority of the day today.

For information on how to get there, check out Alaina Mabaso’s story from this week and scroll down to the ‘transportation’ section.

NewsWorks photographers and reporters will be out covering the event on Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned for fresh photos, feature profiles on vendors and emerging artists, and a wrap-up of how organizers think it all went.
