Art for the Cash-Poor

Saturday, June 9 –Sunday, June 10, noon-6pm daily. Crane Arts Building, 1400 N. American Street. InLiquid’s annual art sale is an opportunity for Philly’s artists and crafters to sell their works for under $199 in a festive block party-meets-art fair. The city’s finest food trucks will be on hand for the events to feed hungry shoppers.

LGBT PrideDay Parade and Festival

Sunday, June 10, Noon start. Gayborhood and Penn’s Landing. For the 23rd year running, the PrideDay Parade and Festival returns to the Gayborhood and Penn’s Landing. The parade starts at noon from 13th and Locust, turns up 7th, heads east on Market and finishes at the Great Plaza on Penn’s Landing at around 1:30pm. Honorary Marshals include Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds-Brown and recently elected State Rep. Brian Sims. The festival is the single biggest day at Penn’s Landing annually, and this year is no exception with food and craft vendors, 80 community organizations, a family activity area, and “Unite Here” booth where couples can tie the knot. Parade is free, Festival costs $10.

Odunde Festival

Sunday, June 10, 10am-8pm. 23rd and South streets. For the 37th year, Odunde is back with a 10-day-long celebration of African and African-American culture, culminating this Sunday with a 12 block long festival packed with music, dance, crafts and food. Free.
