Longtime Philadelphia sports fans remember Vets Stadium, where the Eagles and Phillies played on artificial turf. From the vantage point of the stands, it would take a very sharp eye to discern problems with the playing surface.

Now, a newly released investigative report shines a light on the leading maker of similar playing fields who knowingly sold a defective product.
