Girls softball takes center stage in Roxana, Delaware [photos]
All this week, girls of all ages are showing off their softball skills in Sussex County.
They are at the Lower Sussex Softball complex in Roxana where the Big League and Senior League championships are taking place. Girls from the ages of 13 to 18 are playing.
Sunday’s opening ceremonies featured teams from Bristol, Pa. and the Delaware team from the Millsboro-Georgetown. Bristol won 9-2.
Our content partner, Coastal Point has more on the event. On Wednesday, the Challenger game will take place at 5:30. It’s the first time the game will take place in Delaware. The Challenger division was set up in 1989 for those will physical and intellectual challenges, but want to play baseball.
