Friends of Jenks will appear at tonight’s CHCA meeting
The newly created fundraising arm of the J.S. Jenks Home and School Association will provide an update on its efforts to the full board of the Chestnut Hill Community Association. Haviva Goldman with Friends of Jenks told NewsWorks in February that one of the goals for her group was to better to integrate Jenks into the community. “Jenks is Chestnut Hill’s neighborhood public school, and while it is among the strongest of Philadelphia public elementary schools, many families in the neighborhood don’t consider Jenks as a school option for their child,” Goldman said.
