Police search for suspect linked to credit card fraud

According to police, “The Dude” does more than abide.

“The Dude Abides” is a catchphrase lifted from 1998’s cult film classic The Big Lewbowski, but it was also emblazoned on the shirt of a suspect wanted in connection to the fraud of a Roxborough Park resident.

On Tuesday, authorities announced that on April 12 at 10 a.m., the victim, a 28-year-old female, reported to Philadelphia Police that fraudulent activity was linked to her credit card, despite the complainant still being in possession of the credit card during the alleged activity.

Subsequently, video surveillance footage was recovered, and it depicted a male suspect making a purchase at a Target department store located on Baltimore Pike in Springfield, Pa. on an April afternoon.

Investigators determined that the suspect used the complainant’s credit card, the information from which was unknowingly obtained.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, early to late 20s in age, with medium complexion, a light moustache, wearing, at the time of the incident, red pants and the black t-shirt that says “The Dude Abides.”

If you see this suspect do not approach him – contact 911 immediately.
