Fatal snow plow accident victim ID’d

State Police have now identified a woman who was killed after being hit by a DelDOT snow plow early this morning.

51-year-old Denise McFadden of Wilmington was walking in the area of Philadelphia Pike and Washington Street Extension in Penny Hill around 6:30 this morning when she was hit by the plow.  State Police say the plow was making a u-turn when the truck hit McFadden who was waliking along eastbound Washington Street Extension.  

The body was turned over to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.  McFadden was pronounced dead at the scene.
