East Falls Chili Cook-Off set for March 8 at Mifflin Elementary

The neighborhood rivalry is heating up for the 11th Annual East Falls Chili Cook-off next month. Can you beat the ‘foodies’ of the “Kick in the Beans” team? Will the new Farm Truck Philly win the Professional category? Will Falls Flowers defend the coveted title of People’s Choice Overall Champion?

This year’s Chili Cook-off, organized by the East Falls Community Council, will be held on March 8 at Mifflin Elementary School.  Proceeds will benefit the EFCC, Mifflin Elementary School, and East Falls community organizations.

If you’re interested in competing, applications are available at the Falls of Schuylkill Library, across the street from Mifflin Elementary School.

Competitors will be judged by chefs in a variety of categories, but the best chili con carne, vegetarian and side dish entries will be chosen by the guests who attend the Cook-off.
