Dover Trasnit hub ready for unveiling

The finishing touches are being put on the Dover Transit hub today for its big unveiling Friday.

That’s great news for businesses on South Governors Ave. DelDot officials admit they’ve caused some inconvience over the course of the project that began in 2008. The $11.5million upgrade will replace the Puncheon Run Bridge, put utility wires underground, and install new traffic lights in the area.  By rebuilding the bridge DelDot officials feel they will eliminate residential flooding that takes place in that area.

Ribbon cutting for the center will take place at 11:30.  The transit hub is located at 410 West Water Street.
