Different suspects sought for Somerton Wawa robbery, Frankford assault

Police with Northeast Detectives are busy. Different suspects are sought at either end of the division for crimes that occurred less than two weeks apart.

On Aug. 24, a man told an employee at the Wawa at 10901 Bustleton Avenue that he had a gun and demanded money. He fled out the back of the building.

Ten days later, an 82-year-old man was assaulted and robbed on the 5100-block of Griscom Street in Frankford. The victim says he was sprayed with mace and punched, then robbed of his money.

The Somerton robbery suspect is described as a white male between 30 and 40 years of age, approximately 5’8″ and 200 lbs. He was wearing a white tank top with a red shirt and black shorts at the time of the robbery.

The suspect in the Frankford crime is a black male between 30 and 40 years of age, approximately 5’9″ and 250 lbs. He wore a white shirt and blue jeans during the assault.
