Demonstrators gather at Israeli consulate in Center City to protest attacks on Gaza [photos]

About 300 gathered in front of the Israeli consulate Friday to protest recent attacks on Gaza.

About 300 Palestinian supporters gathered at the intersection of 19th Street and JFK Boulevard near the Israeli consulate in Center City, Philadelphia Friday.

Protesters blocked the Israeli consulate, waving Palestinian flags, and demanding that the U.S. withdraw its support of Israel. Chants of, ‘Palestine will never die,’ and ‘Stop bombing innocents’ could be heard throughout the crowd.

White balloons were handed out to represent Palestinian child killed during the month of July.

Police were on the scene to keep protesters from surging into JFK Boulevard near the Israeli consulate.
