Delaware student takes part in national spelling bee

A 7th-grader at Saint Catherine of Siena School in Centerville will take her shot at the semi-final round at the National Spelling Bee.

13-year-old Josie Carlozzi won the state spelling bee in March.  She takes part in the oral rounds of the Scripps National Spelling Bee taking place just outside of Washington. Josie is the only Delaware student in the competition, which began Tuesday with a written round.

The semi-finals begin Thursday.
