UPDATE: Suspect arrested for Delaware murder

New Castle County Police have arrested the victim’s father-in-law who accused of killing a 26-year-old Wilmington man who was trying to talk with his estranged wife.

The shooting happened just before nine Monday night in the community of Country Creek in Bear.  Police have now arrested 44-year-old Darrell Phillips on murder charges.

They say Phillips got into an argument with his daughter’s estranged husband, Clarence Brown.  Brown had apparently gone to Phillips home to try to talk to his wife.  Investigators say Phillips shot Brown during the argument at the front door.
