Civic watchdog Zack Stalberg looks back on a career monitoring Philly politics

The nonprofit, nonpartisan Committee of Seventy was established in 1904 to combat corruption in Philadelphia. Since then, it’s never been wanting for issues to address.
Its name comes from an Old Testament passage describing Moses and 70 appointed elders leading the Israelites through the barren desert.
Now, after 10 years at the helm of the watchdog group, president and CEO Zack Stalberg is making a sojourn of his own. The lifelong Philadelphian is retiring to a sparsely populated town some 20 miles south of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Aside from packing, Stalberg put a NewsWorks Tonight stop on his to-do checklist, before heading west.
