Blood Bank opens expanded donor center

The Blood Bank’s Christiana Donor Center is now twice as big as it was two years ago.

The donor center doubles as the Blood Bank of Delmarva’s headquarters and is where 40% of all blood donations on the peninsula are collected. The expansion came about because of the increased demand in blood for local patients, and so the Blood Bank could keep up with the latest advances in ‘blood banking.’
