Celebrate World Lizard Day by lunching with the Museum’s resident lizards! We’ll begin the program with a live animal presentation followed by a lip-licking pizza lunch with our lizards bearby. Reptilian afternoon activities round out the event! Pizza, beverage, and dessert will be served. Pre-registration required. Delaware Museum of Natural History.

Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre performs “Alice in Wonderland,” in which a young reader falls asleep and the characters from her storybook come to life in her dream! She follows the White Rabbit into a Wonderland of adventure and fun. Two actors play all the parts in this zany, action-packed, laugh-out-loud play! (Note: If it rains or if the heat index is 95 or higher, this program moves indoors to Kent County Public Library.)

Music in the Park: The Downtown Dixieland Band, August 15th

The Downtown Dixieland Band, an ensemble of the Milford Community Band, will provide scintillating Dixieland music for the audience at Killen’s Pond State Park. Killens Pond State Park.

Tommy Edward as SIR ROD STEWART is in it’s 15th year running. Tommy Edward has captured the wild hair, the sweet soulful raspy voice and the body language of the real Rod Stewart himself. Combining the image of Rod Stewart with contests, sing-alongs, fans on-stage, balloons, freebies, family photos, costume changes, and a great band, Tommy Edward wins over packed houses every night. 080814art41st Annual Outdoor Art Show, August 9th – 17th

Over 130 artists and artisans from the Mid-Atlantic region will display and sell their fine art and fine crafts amidst the 3.5-acre historic wooded location in Henlopen Acres. The Outdoor Show is not just an art show but is a fun summer event for the family with great food, music, face-painting, artist demonstrations, two art exhibitions in the galleries, the historic Homestead and gardens to stroll through and new this year Dogfish Head Bier Garten.
