Arrest made in fatal stabbing of rapper Nicki Minaj’s tour manager

Police have arrested Pierce Boykin, 31, of the 1300 block of E. Sedgwick Ave. in connection to the fatal stabbing of De’Von Pickett. 

Pickett was a tour manager for well-known rapper Nicki Minaj and had been in Philadelphia for two days when the incident occured outside West Oak Lane’s Che’ Bar and Grill during the early hours of Feb. 18

The incident began at 2:35 a.m, according to reports. By 3:02 a.m. Pickett was pronounced dead after suffering multiple injuries to his torso. 

Boykin was also arrested for his connection to the stabbing of another male during the altercation, who is also a member of Minaj’s tour group. He remains in critical condition.
