Campus Inn opponents submit final case to ZBA
University City Review: Fate of 40th & Pine still hangs in the balance
Nicole Contosta reports that opponents of the Campus Inn extended-stay hotel project at 40th and Pine Streets made their final case for why they don’t want a 10-story hotel situated in the heart of a residential neighborhood before the Zoning Board of Adjustments last Thursday, February 19th.
The opposition tried to demonstrate that the proposal fails to pass two hardship tests required to receive a zoning variance for commercial use in a residential district: those of economic hardship and being the least intrusive alternative solution possible.
Legal council has until March 8th to submit their closing arguments.
