News from the PlanPhilly team, Feb. 22

Dear PlanPhilly Member,

After many successful public forums in the riverward neighborhoods, that work is now going to be put into action at the Central Delaware Design Workshop to be held March 1-3 at the Independence Seaport Museum. Principles derived from the forums will be the foundation used by internationally-renowed designers during this three-day period.

After three days of intense work, we believe we’ll have exciting broad strokes sketched out for a civic vision for the Central Delaware.  We invite you to join us for the public presentation of these first renderings from the design team:

Date/Time: Saturday, March 3, 3:00-5:00pm
Location: Independence Seaport Museum

REGISTER here: www.planphilly.com/registration

The event will be followed by an hour-long reception to thank the designers who participated in the workshop as well as the citizens who have worked throughout this process to make their voice heard.  Please register
(www.planphilly.com/registration) so we are able to accommodate for all in the auditorium and the subsequent reception.

We’re excited to see the values and principles you’ve expressed throughout the process get put to paper.  The work of the design team will be presented by internationally recognized design team leaders: Peter Latz, Walter Hood, Ken Greenberg, Gary Hack, and Denise Scott Brown.  A respondent panel of experts from around the country will provide commentary and criticism and address questions from the audience.  Please join us for this exciting next step in the planning process.
