Guest: George Weigel

While some gardeners may think fall is time to wind down their planting after busy spring and summer seasons, our guest GEORGE WEIGEL says not so fast! In fact, he says, fall is the perfect time to add new plants to your lineup and assess what has and hasn’t worked for you. Today on Radio Times, guest host Mary Cummings-Jordan speaks with Weigel, horticulturist and gardening extraordinaire, about fall foliage and other flora that can be incorporated into fall gardens. Some of his favorites include dwarf goldenrod, Mexican sage, and purple asters. He’s out with his latest book Pennsylvania Month-by-Month Gardening, which contains plenty of tips for gardeners who are getting ready for the cooler months of the year.
