ATTICUS LISH has worked for many years as a Chinese-English translator. Previously, he held a variety of jobs: at fast food counters, a Styrofoam factory, as a construction helper, a moving man, and a receptionist. He was also a US Marine. Now he’s released a new book. In his debut novel Preparation for the Next Life, he depicts the love story that unfolds between a Chinese immigrant, Zou Lei, and Iraq war veteran Brad Skinner set in New York City.
