Officials say the fire broke out shortly before sunrise on the 7500 block of Central Avenue in Sea Isle City.
The fire appeared to have sparked in a three-story residential structure before spreading to an adjacent house, according to authorities.

Officials say one firefighter suffered a minor injury. There were no other injuries.
Four residential units were declared a “total loss,” according to authorities.
The cause remains under investigation.
