NewsWorks Tonight Producer Shai Ben-Yaacov has covered stories across the region during his time at WHYY.
Shai began his radio career as a newsroom volunteer in 2004. He has had many jobs in the newsroom, including production assistant on WHYY’s local Morning Edition newscast, local Sunday morning host, fill-in host for local afternoon weekday newscasts, and a newsroom producer and reporter. He also guest-hosts NewsWorks Tonight.
As NewsWorks Tonight producer, Shai manages all aspects of NewsWorks Tonight, WHYY's nightly news magazine, including booking, conducting and editing interviews, writing the show script, creating nightly lineups, and coordinating with contributing reporters and producers.
Shai lives in Germantown with his wife, son and assorted pets.
