The jobs picture for new graduates
Listen

Hour 1
What kind of jobs are out there for new college graduates? How has the job market changed since the depths of the Great Recession of 2008? Who’s getting jobs, and who’s not, and why? Joining us to shed light on the employment environment that the Class of 2012 just entered is CARL VAN HORN, director of Rutgers University’s John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development. He wrote the Center’s report last month, “Chasing the American Dream: Recent College Graduates and the Great Recession” (pdf). We’ll also hear from FAWN JOHNSON correspondent for the National Journal, about national efforts to educate and train a new workforce.
