Hanukkah meets Thanksgiving/Local chefs on meal tips

Listen

Guests: Dianne Ashton, Erin O’Shea, and Rich Landau

What do you have planned for your Thanksgiving feast this year? Many tables will feature a turkey, but how does a family accommodate their vegetarian family members and guests? And this year Thanksgiving falls on the first day of Hanukkah, the first time since 1888 – the next projected “Thanksgivukkah” will be more than 70,000 years from now. We’ll reconcile religion, food philosophy and culinary rituals with Rowan University professor of religion studies, DIANNE ASHTON; RICH LANDAU, chef and owner of the vegetarian restaurant, Vedge; and ERIN O’SHEA, Executive Chef and partner of Percy Street Barbecue.
