Stereotypes, Stigma and Mental Illness

But with diseases of the brain and mind, we lack the ability to open our arms and hearts to those who suffer. We often generalize about what a person with mental illness is capable of achieving in relationships, work and life. We’ll take a look at the studies that debunk some of those stereotypes and talk with a family as well as a writer who have come out of the darkness to advocate against the stigma of mental illness.
