Southside Johnny

When one thinks of New Jersey rock n’ roll, typically names like Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi come to mind.  However, Southside Johnny Lyon is living proof that there are more rock n’ roll diamonds in the rough of the Garden State that may not shine as bright but are equally polished.  With his heavily seasoned band, the Asbury Jukes (Steve Van Zandt is an ex-member), Southside Johnny has released over fifteen albums spanning four decades and counting.  While he may not have become the household name like his New Jersey contemporaries, Southside Johnny, along with his trusted Jukes, has made reliable, explosive rock n’ roll music, an American treasure that becomes more and more scarce each year.
