Listen 00:48:45Guests: David Rothkopf, Angela Stent and Thomas Christensen
President Obama took center stage yesterday at the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly. In his speech to world leaders, he harshly criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin’s support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and later took on Chinese President Xi Jinping saying China should resolve its disputes with neighbors in the South China Sea. Obama also met privately with Putin and Xi Jinping while they were in the U.S. attending the General Assembly meeting. Today on Radio Times we’ll talk about U.S. relations with Russia and China. Our guests are DAVID ROTHKOPF of Foreign Policy Magazine, ANGELA STENT, senior fellow at the Transatlantic Academy and author of The Limits of Partnership: US-Russia Relations in the Twenty-First Century, and THOMAS CHRISTENSEN, Director of the China and the World Program at Princeton University and author of The China Challenge: Shaping the Choices of a Rising Power.
