A bipartisan report out of the Pennsylvania state General Assembly is fueling calls for capital punishment to be abolished. Protests resume in Pittsburgh after the funeral of Antwon Rose, a black 17-year-old who was shot by a police officer. WESA’s Kathleen Davis gives an update. The Rodale Institute’s new chief scientist, Dr. Andrew Smith, joins the show. To combat waste and feed hungry people, a local organization is rescuing perfectly good milk that was going to get dumped to make cheese and yogurt for families in need.
