National Politics — the week in review

    Listen

    Hour 1

Republican presidential contenders — some official, some not so  –made the rounds this week. Rick Santorum announced his candidacy, Tim Pawlenty laid out his economic plan, and Sarah Palin was in Boston talking American history.  Back at the White House, the President’s popularity rating decline as a result of economic uncertainty and fears.  On Capitol Hill, the debt ceiling debate continued but much of the news from the Hill focused on the “misbehavior”  and apology of Democratic New York congressman Anthony Weiner.  Joining us for our weekly political round-up are SCOT LEHIGH, op-ed columnist from the Boston Globe and KATHRYN JEAN LOPEZ of the National Review Online.
