Hour 1

Speculation continues about who Mitt Romney will pick to join him on the GOP ticket – Tim Pawlenty, Rob Portman, Paul Ryan and Chris Christie are some of the names floated as possible running mates.  Romney has given few clues about who his Vice President nominee will be, but with the Republican National Convention starting August 27th, his deadline is nearing.  Election politics continued to heat up this week with Romney attacking Obama’s record on welfare reform, while a pro-Obama super PAC released an ad going after Romney’s time at Bain Capital.  This hour, we’ll get analysis of the latest national political news from DICK POLMAN, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and blogs for WHYY’s  NewsWorks, and DAVID MARK, editor-in-chief of Politix and former senior editor at Politico.
