Listen 48:59Guests: Claire Finkelstein, John Gans, Bruce Jentleson
U.S. Ambassador William Taylor released a statement yesterday that confirms allegations that President Trump withheld military aid for Ukraine in order to pressure Ukraine’s President to publicly announce an investigation into Joe Biden’s son. Taylor, the U.S. top diplomat to Ukraine, is one of a number of witnesses who have been questioned behind closed doors as part of the House impeachment inquiry. Today we’ll discuss Taylor’s damning testimony, how it might impact the impeachment probe and US foreign policy as well as the White House response. We’re joined by CLAIRE FINKELSTEIN, professor of law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, JOHN GANS, who teaches at the University of Pennsylvania and is a former Pentagon speechwriter, and BRUCE JENTLESON, a professor of public policy and political science at Duke University and a former State Department official.
