Frank Schaefer was defrocked last year for officiating his son’s same-sex wedding in Massachusetts. Schaefer was the head pastor at the Zion United Methodist Church in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania until, in December, a church jury convicted him of violating church doctrine by performing the marriage. His story sparked a debate in United Methodist Church about gay marriage. Today, Marty sits down with FRANK SCHAEFER to talk about his difficult year and the discussion it fueled.
