Powerline plans
We hear a lot about infrastructure upgrades and the fight over how to pay for those improvements. Those arguments are typically focused on highways and bridges. But a multi-state argument over who should pay for power line upgrades has been brewing for years. This week’s First Look focuses on a proposed underwater power line from New Jersey to Delaware. A project that’s now on hold.

First Person: Hans Reigle
First Person this week is the Republican candidate for the U.S. House seat in Delaware, Hans Reigle. In a mostly Democratic state, what are his chances, and why should you vote for him? Those questions and more as the candidate joins us in our First studio this week.

Lung Cancer
Lung cancer awareness month is just a few weeks away which is why we thought it would be a good idea to check in to see what’s going on right in our own backyard. What we found is a Delaware State alumnus determined to inspire others after the disease hit too close to home.

The Supreme Court “What If?”
We are one week into the new term of the U.S. Supreme Court. We are also four weeks away from election day. How do we tie these two items together? We invite Ron Smolla, Dean at Widener Univeristy’s Delaware School of Law for an explanation.

First Experience: Nina Mickelson
First Experience this week proves that you’re never to old to try new things. Lewes artist Nina Mickelson worked in business all her life. While recovering from surgery she decided to use her free time to explore her artistic side and she hasn’t looked back.
