Listen

Guest: Atticus Lish

ATTICUS LISH has worked for many years as a Chinese-English translator. Previously, he held a variety of jobs: at fast food counters, a Styrofoam factory, as a construction helper, a moving man, and a receptionist. He was also a US Marine. Now he’s released a new book. In his debut novel Preparation for the Next Life, he depicts the love story that unfolds between a Chinese immigrant, Zou Lei, and Iraq war veteran Brad Skinner set in New York City. We’ll hear from him about the novel, his circuitous path to writing, and his literary lineage. Join us.
