A conversation with Israeli writer Yossi Klein Halevi about “Like Dreamers”

Listen

In his new book, Like Dreamers, Israeli writer YOSSI KLEIN HALEVI,  follows the lives of seven Israeli paratroopers who reunited Jerusalem during the end of the 1967 Six Day War. In their telling, these stories are as much about the contemporary history of Israel as they are about the men whose beliefs and politics varied from religious to secular, right-wing to liberal, and kibbutznik to West Bank settler. Halevi was born in the U.S., emigrated to Israel thirty years ago and has become one of his country’s most respected writers and commentators on politics and foreign policy. He joins Marty in the studio to talk about his new book and share his perspective on the challenges facing modern day Israel.
