West Deptford police investigate threats against mayor, committeeman

Police in West Deptford Township are investigating threats against two Republican office holders.

Mayor Raymond Chintall and Committeeman Sam Cianfarini have been the subject of threats since early spring, the Gloucester County Times reports.
The threats, which include letters stuffed in mailboxes and stuck on front doors, began when the pair voted to discontinue the township’s summer concerts. The typed letters include messages like, “We follow your wife,” and “Lv nw or ur dead.”

A Democratic committee woman also said she’d gotten a letter with threatening comments about Chintall.
