Wesley College hosts Delaware Youth Conference
Young people from throughout the First State are gathering at Wesley College in Dover for an opportunity to talk about their concerns with Delaware’s congressional delegation.
Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons and Representative John Carney are on hand for the annual Delaware Youth Conference. Issues expected to be discussed in breakout sessions are expected to include leadership through service, cyber security and more. Students will also engage in an open forum with the delegation. Congressional staff will also assist students who are interested in applying to a United States Service Academy. A donation drive is also associated with today’s Youth Conference to benefit the Food Bank of Delaware. The late Senator William Roth initiated the annual Youth Conference in 1969 and hosted it annually until 2000.
